The role
As a Regional Product Manager to be responsible for enhancing the client experience. This will be via the delivery of inspiring and commercially focused product and relevant documentation within Africa and Indian Ocean area. The role requires pro-active collaboration with sales and non-sales teams across all source markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strive to innovate and differentiate, delivering unique and exclusive product, that is market leading and inspires a desire to travel 
  • Ensure product depth and price breadth is maintained for all destinations 
  • Ensure all Health and Safety and responsible tourism requirements are met when sourcing product 
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure we are working in partnership and under the best possible terms to procure sales 
  • Ensure clear and accurate tariffs are available for all Ground Handling Agents (GHAs)  
  • Promote a focus on product development and Audley experiences with Ground Agents to encourage initiative and research on our behalf 
  • Lead quarterly performance review meetings with key suppliers 
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure we are working in partnership and under the best possible terms to procure sales 
  • Ensure clear and accurate tariffs are available for all Ground Handling Agents (GHAs)  
  • Lead quarterly performance review meetings with key suppliers 
  • Seek out, review and act on Country Specialist, supplier and client feedback to ensure product selection and documentation is accurate and in keeping with Audley standards 
  • In conjunction with the Operations department ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met when sourcing and developing product 
  • Uphold service level agreements for sales team interaction including response times and management of supplier failure issues 
  • Complete regular tender process in line with Audley procedure 
  • Negotiate favourable commercial terms complete with marketing/familiarisation (fam) trip support and override scheme 
  • Monitor costs and contracts comparing Ground Agents, direct contracts and competitor range to assess competitiveness and best fit for business 
  • Continually review options for the most effective fulfilment channels, including cost-loading, API, supplier portal and others 
  • Develop and manage a high-performing team who are viewed as the best in the industry 
  • Holding accountability with direct reports to deliver KPIs as a team 
  • Conduct 1-2-1s and quarterly performance reviews with direct reports to provide support and identify development/training needs. 
  • Manage cross functional relationships with internal stakeholders at Audley, representing your Product region 

About you
You will have knowledge of the tailor-made travel industry, ideally with a specialist tour operator, global supplier or GHA.

Additional experience required:
  • Be able to demonstrate innovative product development that delivers a unique and exclusive experience for Audley clients  
  • Be comfortable working within a matrix structure as part of a global team with multiple stakeholders 
  • Demonstrate knowledge and infectious passion about Africa and Indian Ocean region
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to build and influence key relationships within the business 
  • Ability to successful manage, engage and develop a high-performing team in an inspirational and encouraging way 
  • Demonstrates behaviours and attitudes to the rest of the team that embody the Audley values 
  • Passionate about keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and news  
  • Good analytical skills understanding the importance of profits/performance 
  • Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
